Brow Tattoo styles
RUSSIAN OMBRÉ BROWS
Russian Ombré is a beautifully shaded brow without harsh or sharp borders creating more of a pencilled in look. This technique suits those who are wanting more definition, really enhance the shape and fill in gaps and makeup wearers most of the time. Best suited to brows with a good amount of hair.
NANO HAIRSTROKE BROWS
Similar to Feather touch or micro blading but performed with a gentle machine and suitable for most skin types. This look creates realistic hair strokes for a less is more, minimal look. Perfect for those who aren’t wanting too much change but just enough to fill in any gaps and make the brows look a little fuller. Recommended for those who don’t wear makeup most of the time as this look is fairly undetectable.
After a thorough consultation, together we can decide on the right style of brow for you.
A PERSONALISED Q&A CONSULTATION
If you’re feeling nervous about the commitment why not book in for a consult to meet first and we can discuss all of your questions in detail, take a good look at your brows and talk about the desired outcome you have in mind while showing you colours and shaping. 30min $50, redeemable on Ombré procedure should you choose to go ahead.
Please note: there are certain contraindications to this procedure, these will be addressed with you upon booking.
-
Your initial appointment takes up to 3 hours. Starting with a thorough consultation to determine exactly what you’re after, discussing the colour best suited to your natural brow, hair colour and skin tone.
The next step is brow mapping. Measuring and marking tools are used to map the most natural shape suited to your facial features. This detailed process plays an integral role in achieving the desired final results.
A topical gel anaesthetic is applied throughout to ensure as much comfort as possible. As the needle only penetrates into the dermal layer (upper layer) of the skin, there is very minimal pin prick bleeding, if any and little to no pain.
-
The pre and post care is paramount to the quality of your healed results! This is discussed in detail at the time of your appointment. Healing takes place over 6-8 weeks. You’ll be given an aftercare bag to take home with a healing ointment to apply.
-
Following the 6-8 week healing period, you will return for your touch up appointment to perfect and finalise your brows.
-
$715 (includes touch up appointment and aftercare kit)
*a $100 deposit must be paid upon booking. This will not be refunded if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment time. The amount will be carried over should you need to reschedule. If you do need to reschedule please give at least 48hrs notice as it leaves a large gap to hopefully be filled with other appointments.
Lip Blush Tattoo
Lip Blush Tattoo is fast becoming as popular and practical as Brow Tattoos. Kates style of tattoo is soft and natural giving a flush of colour that doesn’t look like a tattoo at all! Rather than changing your appearance, enhancing your own lip shape and colour is always the goal.
Lip Blush is ideal for:
Giving the illusion of bigger lips, giving definition to a blurred or faded outline.
Eliminating time in the morning by not needing to apply lip liner or lipstick.
A great alternative to lip filler.
Covering scars and evening skin tone.
Bringing back your own natural lip colour if they’ve faded with age.
Lip blush is a one or two part process depending on the look you’re wanting to achieve. Initially the colour will be very bright and vibrant, you must be aware of this but rest assured over the coming few days they lighten by 50% leaving you with really natural results. A thorough consultation takes place at the beginning of the appointment where both you and Kate will agree on the perfect shape and colour for you taking into consideration your desires and Kates professional opinion. There is minimal down time with a little swelling on the first day or two plus some peeling for 3-4 days being completely healed by days 5-7.
Your lips will look fresh, plump and youthful with a simple slick of balm or gloss!
PRICE: ONE session Sheer look Lip Blush $500. TWO session Lipstick look Lip Blush $750

Are you a fellow blondie or fair haired beauty?
Kate, being blonde herself understands the struggles of finding someone that knows colour and can get it right but when it comes to tattooing brows and using pigment that heals differently in the skin throughout the healing process, it can bring an extra layer of complexity. The most common concerns from fair haired guests are 1). I don’t want dark brows! And 2). Will they be the right colour to match my fair hair and compliment my skin tone?
As a qualified Makeup Artist as well, Kate has studied colour theory in depth. Being able to understand tones and undertones; whether a pigment or skin colour is warm, cool or neutral is second nature to her. Applying this knowledge to Cosmetic Tattooing is an integral part of achieving the final healed result.
She takes a conservative approach at the initial appointment and at the time of your touch up the colour can be reassessed. Time is taken to listen to your concerns, evaluate your colouring and together, will decide on a bespoke colour for you.
Fair brows often lack fullness and definition too. Ombrè or Powder brows can give you the defined, symmetrical, shapely yet soft brows you’ve been wanting all while working with your own natural shape.
Colour Correction
If you have an old tattoo that is more than 12 months old and is in need of either a colour boost or colour correction that hasn’t been performed by Kate Vallance please book an Ombré Brow consultation which includes a complimentary brow style.
This is a case by case scenario and needs to be assessed up close and in person to determine the best course of action and to see the condition of the skin. Some cases may be turned away due to any damage to the skin or too much colour retention. A quote can be given thereafter.
FAQs
-
All necessary hair within the outlined shape of the tattoo will be left, the rest will be waxed leaving crisp results at the end of the procedure.
-
You’ll receive an ointment to apply for one week while they’re healing and you must follow aftercare protocol to ensure the best healed results. Your brows will start to naturally flake after a few days. Much like an abrasion where your skin develops a scab to heal the skin underneath, a tattoo is the same but to a much lesser scale. The flaking will last around a week for some people and for others they may not flake much at all. The most important thing to remember is to not pick or pull on this as it can pull the pigment out or scar.
-
Barely. The outline of your tattoo feels ever so slightly scratchy then a topical anaesthetic is applied throughout the rest of the procedure. Most of my clients fall asleep so that tells you something!
-
They will look darker to begin with but they will lighten and soften by up to 40% once healed.
-
You must follow the pre care instructions to prevent bleeding as much as possible. This includes no blood thinners for a week prior and no alcohol or caffeine 24hrs prior.
Machine work is very gentle on the skin and the odd pin point amount of blood is shed and that’s it.
-
Yes. The technique used in Ombré Cosmetic Tattoo work is very different to body work. The pressure is incredibly light which means the pigment isn’t implanted as deeply and the setting of the machine isn’t as fast meaning a much softer effect.
-
Yes. Ombré can be done on all skin types. Certain skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis on the brow area is contraindicated though.
-
There are some health conditions that require a certificate of approval from your GP and others that are contraindicated such as pregnancy and keloid scarring.
A complete list of everything that is contraindicated can be provided and discussed.
